My original flux, bough in Nov 2018 has broken. 3rd time it's broken, it's been replaced twice already, but now halfords are saying out of warranty. I thought it was 2 year warranty, but they say only one.
Can anyone confirm?

When you click on warranty page on Tacx’s site it says they are now owned by Garmin since April 2019 and takes you here : https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/legal/consumer-limited-warranty/
Warranty is 2 years....
The confusion is probably that you bought in 2018 when warranty was only 1 year, it’s only since the Garmin takeover that it became 2 years.
Do you have a link to the tacx warranty page? I can only see the terms and conditions that doesn't mention duration.
If it's now 2 years, but was only one year, where does that leave me?

I googled Tacx warranty and a PDF hosted on Amazon comes up and says 1 year so it’s possible different trainers had different lengths of warranty.
While the UK still sits under EU rules everything has a minimum 2 year warranty regardless what the shop or manufacturer says. Old UK law was really vague and things had to last a "reasonable" time which was based on the item, so a fridge should be good for 5 years for instance. I believe Tacx also extend this 2 years to the US, which is unusual as they generally get a year.
It was two years when I bought mine in 2017. Broke the first time after 15 months and was replaced, broke again just after 2 years. Didn't see the point in spending good money repairing it since it was so unreliable, so now I have a wahoo.
Just been on to halfords customer services who said they'd offer me an upgrade at no extra cost. I'd rather have my money back but I can't complain with that given it's 20 months old.
Think I'll get myself a neo and try to sell on any warrenty replacement because quite frankly not been remotely impressed with the flux
