any going spare that they never use I,m down to just the long arm and the extension as the others have fallen to bits or broken so could do with the short one or medium(preferable)

If no joy any other bike arms from Thule that would fit the frame of the rack

This is the rack I have

Can’t tell from the photo, but if it’s the California (4 bikes) rack then spare arms are a nightmare to come by. I’ve kept the rubber clamps at each ends and bought M8 threaded stainless steel bars/Tommy nuts to tighten-all for under a tenner.

Edit: if it’s the oval end (the bit that clamps to the rack that’s buggered then you’ll probably have to source an original arm. They’re about £30 each from memory.

Have you got the bits?
Mine rusted up, they are repairable and you can buy the Tommy nuts separately if you can’t get them off.

When you reassemble plenty of copper grease on the Tommy especially if you don’t use it a lot over winter.

They do.... A generous coating of grease helps.

The extending arm (2 to 4) was buggered when I bought my rack 2nd hand.

I see plenty of bent racks where people have forgotten the rack was down whilst reversing. Surely some of these folks must sell the rest as spares.

@thegeneralist since our T5 rack was ripped off the back of our van at 1am on the drive a few months ago I've been pondering how to replace it. Your rack obviously interesting... it fits on a tailgate is that correct?

@postierich I may have the single short 4th bike arm around somewhere left from the rack that went last year. I'll look.

I've got a bag of spare arms - somebody reared by carrier so had to buy a new one but kept the arms. The only problem I foresee is my rack was for 3 bike barn door so not sure if they are compatible?

Hmmm, don't suppose anyone has any of the ratchets that slide on to attach the wheels to the trays of a fiamma rack kicking about? Mine were all old/perished and snapped...

I’see what I kept after mrs trashed ours. I cut it down to a single rack so I need the first arm looks like I still have the 3rd long arm and I think I have the 2 to 4 connector. Ill see if I can get the long arm off tomorrow when it’s light.

Edit found the 2-4 it’s in mint condition.looks like I’ve got the bits you don’t need but happy to send to anyone that needs them for postage

I've often thought about retrofitting thule arms to the t5 bike rack these ones - wonder if it could be done?

@jonk I fitted Fiamma arms to a thule rack just because I prefer them, the two racks had the same dia tubes so no problem. Depends on the dia of your rack tubes.
