Can't see why this would be an issue, or am I missing something?
Main wheels have GX 12 speed cassette with summer tyres, but I have some mud heavier tyres on a shimano freehubed set of wheels. Can I simply place a NX 12 speed on and be able to swop the wheels around? I realise we are 50/10 verses 50/11 teeth.
I would expect that you might, might need to index it a little bit but that's all.
Perhaps the limit screws too.
Or it will just fit and go to prove me wrong.Lol
Sram claim that their entire Eagle line-up is all interchangeable.
Can't see why you'd have a problem based on that.
The hubs will make a difference, they may be a mm or so out affecting indexing. NX is on the standard shimano hub, GX on XD - there may be a slight mm or so difference.
Used to get this even moving between Dura Ace hubs and Hope Hubs on 8 speed. Needed a couple of turns of the indexing screw.
I swap between gx 10 -50 and sunrace 11-50 (on a Shimano freehub) no issues & no adjustment required
