...if you would be so kind!
First visit tomorrow. Haven't a scooby about the place.
Best place to park? Do I need to take coins?
Best coffee spot?
Is there a choice of trails?
Cheers all 8)
£2 for 4 hrs or £4 all day. Car park could be full by 10:30 as the forecast is pretty good, might not be though.
1x Red, 1x Blue and 1x tiny Green.
Cafe in the visitor centre, the outdoor little cafe is closed now I think.
Both Cafes are closed (actually it was the same cafe with two serving areas)- although some sort of 'food' is available from the shop. I use quotes as the food from the cafe was shoot so its unlikely improved by inappropriate surroundings.
If you like proper coffee, and don't like paying to park then come to Crowthorne instead - High street has proper coffee and the car park right at the top of the high street ( http://www.streetmap.co.uk/idld.srf?X=484679&Y=164435&A=Y&Z=120&lm=1) will lead you straight to Red 8 if you follow the Roman road East for about 6-7 mins. You might accidentally ride into Crowthorne wood too, where many of the best trails are 😉
Oooh, interesting - thank you!
Blimey what happened to the cafe for it to shut down?? ;-/
Take the train if you can, stuff can go missing from cars.
Keep your bike in sight at all times. Never leave anything of value in the car. Lots of bits missing due to felling at the red/blue junction and roman road/ star point. Will be busy this weekend, so get there for 8am or your get in a traffic jam on the trail.
Only been a couple of times, but remember it being quite pedally.
Thank you for the Crowthorne parking tip. Worked a treat.
That Discovery Centre is absolute carnage! (I don't have kids 😆 😯 )
