A recent thread I started on here had my posting the below Stooge build
Anyone want to donate some pics of other beautiful builds they've seen with unusual colour schemes?
The blue/purple cranks on this are a very strange choice in theory, but to my eye look fabulous

Nothing to add in terms of photo's, but I am thinking of getting a frame refinished, so hopefully some inspiration here. That mustard colour is a good start, thanks!
I find a good barometer of whether or not a colour scheme would work is to ask yourself 'Is this a colour scheme that I would see on a Hope Fans Facebook group?'
If yes, pick another.

I own the antithesis of this.
I give you 1970's British Leyland beige.

Yea I think I know what you have in mind and I wouldn't consider that kind of thing unusual
Here's another I saw recently -- certainly not my favorite, but rather pretty and impressive to produce a build almost devoid of black (I can spot only the jockey wheels!)

I'd wanted a Curtis forever then a chance of an exd demo came up at unbeatable price and it happened to be in the best colour combo ever !
That reminds me a bit of an old bontrager.
I couldn't live with the tan saddle though

Huh? Green frame:tan saddle. It's the rules!

Yet no tanwalls?
Who was the person on here who had a really bright pink hardtails with accessories of every colour? It was like a harlequin in luminous colours...
And of course...
Dear God, unconventional certainly, but not really what I had in mind
Amazing they built a bike that leaves Maxxis logos looking subtle
A completely unintentional Alpinestars homage? Pink stem has been swapped out for a colour matched green one sadly...

@13thfloormonk that definitely counts. Weird, but it somehow works

Oh it works, alongside the kashima bits and the headset. I just don't like tan. I'd be willing to run tanwall tyres in exchange
A nice departure from Rocky's current vomit colour schemes.

BigDummy, maybe? I miss his posts; that guy was hilarious.

@colournoise I think, somewhat fittingly.
And of course…
Brilliant. I love that!
I like the blue purple flip paint on mine : )
It’s only tape and accessories matched to the tyres, but I love the way my gravel bike looks, and it gets a lot of favourable comments out and about.

Going waaaaaaaaay back in time, a bike that sticks in my mind from on here was gingerflash/mrsflash did a Santa Cruz hardtail with colour matched powder coated rims and frame, maybe cables and grips too. I think it was a baby blue and just looked the business.

And yet one of the nicer looking Orange FS i've seen.
Mmm, nice.
These may provide inspiration:
Old thread, but after some amature spraying of my forks and stem, by bike probably fits this thread now

Cinelli do some unusual ones.
Personally I much prefer their simple colour schemes.

That hardtail above looks awesome.
Is it titanium?
Not sure actually, it doesn't even say here I don't think (it's the last bike they report on)

Looks like it's made by naked bicycles.

At $5700 usd for a frame I'll just have to appreciate the aesthetics on a screen

I think walty the custom titanium manufacturer were doing anodised titanium finished

Xcad are doing some anodising

That hardtail above looks awesome.
Apart from the cutesy teeny tiny disc rotors.
i think gt bikes of the early 90's vintage had some of the best paint jobs ever (like the bright orange splatter karakoram and the petrol film paint job of one of their other bikes was a steel ht cannot remember the model). also klein of course.
Here's my current ride with a mix of gum/bronze/kashima.
