... strap.
Specifically the one that rubs on my neck and irritates my freshly shaved skin.
I've seen some fancy helmets with a nice bit of (maybe) towelling around the nylon strap, and I saw one once with a leather thingie.
Googling "chin strap cover" brings up a lot of motorbike specific stuff - am I going to have to get one of those or can somebody recommend a cycling specific thingie?
Yeah - don't shave before going for a ride.
It is all about marginal gains - have you not read the article about the GB Ladies team and the advice for them to stop with the shaving?
Simples.
Maybe I will just have to turn up to work looking like Hagrid.
maybe you could just not shave 'that bit' and develop a new facial hair trend for MTBers?
Kask helmets have a strap that's either leather or synthetic leather. Works on my road lid.
Can't you adjust the length of the forward and rearward bits of the strap so that it sits under your chin properly?
Specifically the one that rubs on my neck and irritates my freshly shaved skin.
I noticed this when I first started cycling with a helmet in 1992 or so. My solution was to shave in the evenings, at first, then I just gave up and now I use clippers to keep 0.5-1mm of stubble. Far better all round. Shaving is pointless and uncomfortable.
