So I'm a little bit intrigued in looking at all this fork offset nonsense. I like to have a bit of a play around with things, and temped to do some experimentation with a shorter offset fork.

I know fox set their offset at the crown, and wondered whether rockshox was the same, and whether I can then swap a shorter offset csu over to give it a shot, or whether it's at the axle, which means I'm scuppered!

its probably easier to swap lowers than it is the crown. a quick google suggests the offset is related to the CSU part number, so I think it is as you suggested. Expensive experiment though - £250 or so for a new one

Not if I get a cheap set of Yari's 😀

I was thinking of chanigng the CSU and stanchions over as I know the 27.5" have a different offset, whereas a 29er wheel is unlikely to fit in the 27.5 - that's my plan anyway. Good to know it's at the CSU though cheers
