I have some 2017 XT 2 Pots with the banjo on the outside. Look like this..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shimano-Deore-XT-BRM8000MPRX-Caliper/dp/B00WLFTRJC?th=1

And now have on order the new style, with the banjo on the inside that look like this...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SHIMANO-M8120-4PISTONES-Unisex-Multicoloured/dp/B07STHGQKY/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3G058CWG3J38U&keywords=shimano+xt+4+pot+brake+caliper&qid=1685954375&sprefix=xt+4+pot%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-2

Will i have to change the banjo at the end of the hose? Will the new caliper come with all the fittings i need or do i need to order a new banjo?

Cheers

I've only experience on swapping 2 pot callipers (SLX) but the much shorter banjo bolt needed for the inboard fitting has always come with the calliper (I don't think that the bolts are supplied with the hose any longer).

When I contacted Shimano support asking whether it was okay to use BH90-SB hose (sliver banjo) with the newer callipers that quoted BH90-SBM hose (black banjo) as required, I was told that it was okay for 2 pots but not 4 (something to do with heating). It seems odd to me as Deore & other 4 pots use a non-banjo, straight connecter, but I thought that it might be worth mentioning.
