Chain has 1/8th of an inch stretch so too worn to replace with a new chain but I have a used chain with 1/16th of an inch stretch that I should have put on a while back. Do you think it will work or too late? Cassette looks fine.

try it, what's the worst that'll happen?
(edit - that's 1/8 across 12" I assume = 1% which is where I change mine usually - for new chains)
