hi there:
I have a gt moto frame with various upgraded parts - has served me well since i bought it (2007 iirc). I have just started getting back into my riding which seems to have changed - i no longer have the bottle for the jumps and tricky stuff like i used to, i tend to go on long offroad/bridlepath rides. I have been offered a 18" 456 frame as a straight swap. The question is - will it be too "big" for me - i'm 5'8 and the gt frame is 13, which results in me having a high seatpost most of the time. Should i bite their arm off? thanks.
It'll be fine with a 40-60mm stem and some bars with a little bit of rise.
Have had both 16+18" versions before and I'm 5'9" and 29" inside leg.
18" felt nicer for me personally
