You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
going for 42a up front and 60a at the back, but whats with the single or dual thing all about.
Dual plys are tougher and far heavier, DH or fit/determined serial tyre wreckers only.
Dual ply is thicker, heavier and more robust.
If it's for DH, go dual ply. For trail use single ply should be fine unless you regularly punture or ride very rocky terrain.
single are lighter but more prone to pinch flat. i run a double ply minion on the back and a single ply high roller on the front. no more pich flats....
will be 2.35 on a chameleon, how much heavier are the dual.
Fair bit heavier, I use 2.5 dual plys on my DH rig, over a kilo per tyre I think!!
I would stick to single ply for a chameleon.
where's the cheapest
single ply here with that very same set up.
2nd winter on them, great mud tyre
so where is the cheapest
what do you want? I've got a single ply standard in 2.1 and a dual 2.35 ST
I found the single ply at All Terrain Cycles for 17quid. Ended up paying 20 at CRC as I was ordering other stuff at the same time.
