I’ve got a couple of hours to kill tomorrow night while my wife is doing a photography course at Sutton Bank. I am on chauffeur duties but will be taking my bike.

Not sure I can manage the full Paradise Trail in that time. But what else if worth riding around there?

Don’t mind sessioning shorter trail but not confident on anything too jumpy.

For the east hill park here: https://goo.gl/maps/6UwsGq3ZzSr3UwFs6

Follow the trail that leads off to the east end and go and enjoy.

For the west hill you can park here:  https://goo.gl/maps/6cdnF6REFE1q1V6f6

Here's the Trailforks map of the area that will help you get around: https://www.trailforks.com/region/kilburn/

Although if you're dropping off at Sutton Bank and only have a couple of hours, to be honest, I'd probably just park there. Hood Hill has some ace trails (I've passed through twice and barely scratched the surface) and there's some absolute belters off the end of the runway, near where relapsed_mandalorian posted the first link to a car park above that run all the way down towards Kilburn.

Alternatively, nowhere near as gnar but a couple of hours should see you do a spin around the blue trail. Nothing technical at all but depending on the time of day you can go up to High Paradise Farm with a quick detour for tea/cake/butties and then the main (only!) descent on the ride is actually pretty good. The pump track at Sutton Bank is brilliant too...

If you were planning on Kilburn you've dodged a bullet. It is not a place to ride in the wet, after this weekend it'll be bloody awful.

If its been raining the red at Sutton bank should be fine, there's a few nice bridleways that hold up fine dropping down from the Cleveland way North of Sutton bank too.

Has anyone commenting on this thread, been looking at trailforks for kilburn and lots of the trails are marked as closed or "serious issues" wondering if anyone had any on the ground info?

Not been this week but as per above its not somewhere I'd go currently with all the rain - itll be super slimy, and some of it is very steep and rooty.

However - Just park up at Sutton Bank and head out the other way, either follow the red, bits of it, or just bimble along the cleveland way etc - its lovely up there.

wasn't going to head down unless it was a dry spell, not been in the wet but I'm not looking to experience it in the wet either. was just wondering if things had been closed or sabotaged etc.
