I had a notification a month ago mine would be dispatched on the 12th of March as yet I have had no further dispatch notice nor anything through my door. Has anyone had thiers? should I just give up and rent a shockwiz for a week?

I feel your frustration - had all the same delays and issues but (after some chasing) mine arrived on Friday. Would be interested in any feedback out there on how folks are getting on with the output from these units?

I was Kickstarter backer 190 and got mine last Wednesday, not had chance to try it yet but looks simple to set up and use.

Not heard about this before, wonder how it stacks up against Shockwiz? Also wonder if it works with weird suspension, e.g. pull shock on a Cannondale (sounds like it might?)

Mine is due on the 11th of May, I'm expecting it to be delayed.

They had an uplift testing day last week which seemed to go well but there were a few too many comments about "suggested improvements".

I got mine a couple of months ago but haven't had the chance/enthusism to use it yet and it's currently back for fitting of the replacement battery pack.

Over the years(!) since I first pledged on Kickstarter I've become rather cynical of the whole thing. I can't remember if Shockwhizz existed when Suss My Bike first appeared, but I'd come to the opinion that Shockwhizz looks like a much better option (hiring one rather than buying). My real concern is that the whole hinges on the quality of the app and the advice it gives, and I just can't see how Suss My Bike will complete with the R&D might of SRAM on that front.

However, on the positive side I noticed that my local suspension wizards (Plush Suspension) have just received a Suss My Bike and they also have a Shockwhizz. I asked them to do a back-to-back comparison and they immediately commented how they thought it was better! If you look at their Facebook page you should be able to see the comments on their 26th April post.

My first thought on seeing it was how amateurish the app looked! (obviously this has nothing to do with how effective it is)

My understanding is that there is no specific app, its a generic bit of software that they have pushed their data into.

I'm sure it is an app specifically written for the system, it's just loaded via some skanky intermediate software for some reason. I suppose it stops people from just downloading the app and seeing how low-rent it is without them having the hardware, not sure that was the intention though.

looked into it as I have a coil and a triple chamber air fork so shockwiz wouldn’t work but it won’t fit my shock and I’m happy with my forks performance so didn’t bother with it that and the time it’s taken to get here. Would be interesting to see the difference between the two systems.

not to do with the device, but ...

What IS that mad setup underneath the bb on that trek? A gearbox? a motor?

I didn't know about that wee gizmo.  I may investigate now.  Cheers for that

It's a motor - e-go motor kits

Mine arrived last week.  Seems a bit of a faff to set up compared to Shockwiz but it can be used with coil or air, so that's the tradeoff.  App is called Simblee, it allows the SMB unit to connect to the phone, then the software on the SMB unit runs.  App looks a bit basic at the moment but they are a tenacious bunch, so I'm sure they'll work on it.
Will let you know how I get on, hoping to test it out this week

From an engineering perspective would it not make sense that the Sussmybike system which measures travel and travel velocity would have a much better chance of measuring and commenting on damping? Not used a Shockwiz but I just cant get my head around how it measures these aspects based purely on air pressure?

Sussmybike system arrived last week - not ready to comment on it yet but I'm still hopeful for the concept... (same frustrations as above on delays...)

Used mine on Saturday during a normal ride. It drained the batteries in about 4 hours. The results were inconsistent, swinging from one end of the scale to the other even though I made no adjustments. I guess it works better when sessioning a bit of trail. Don’t know if I can be bothered to use it again.

Interesting feedback Ivorhog. Similar experience here to date (I pull the batteries out every ride after draining a couple sets leaving them in) but ever hopeful we can get it up and running. You have to assume that the team have been getting solid results given the extensive testing to date...   (am I being overly optimistic???)

I'd been one of the first 100 backers and my SMB Flow came through about 3 weeks ago, and I've successfully used it to set up my fork.  The fork in question is an X-Fusion Trace HLR RC that's recently had its travel adjusted from 130mm to 140mm.  The change in travel had left the fork feeling a bit too linear for my liking.

I sessioned a section of trail at Glentress that was probably only about 5 minutes top to bottom.  It took about 6 runs to get the right balance of HSC, LSC and Rebound - but the end result is that the fork felt a lot better, and I haven't had to mess with it since.

As far as the app goes, I found it pretty easy and straightforward to use - and I'm a bit analogue when it comes to digital tech and software (maybe its been aimed at people like me?!!).  There was one screen on the app where its easy to stop rather than pause the app between runs, but that is possibly a function of my addled brain rather than a problem with the app.

Ordered on 26th August 2016 via the website not kickstarter and it turned up today.

I've not ridden a mountain bike for over 12 months. Maybe this'll be the impetus to leave the gravel bike indoors and get the big bike out.

Would anyone like to rent it out? I'd like to play with it but not sure it'll do the job.

I may be interested in that as I'll not be using mine much.

Drop me a line and we'll see what works.

After a bit of faff and binning half the fancy fixings in favour of some zip ties I went looking for some kind of user group but couldn't find one.

The app seems adequate but poorly designed and ironically doesn't flow very well.

Anyone know where is best for user info and help?

There is now a facebook group for past present & future SussMyBike users to share experiences on how to get the best out of their unit.
