So yesterday I was changing out the spring and travel on a set of MRP Ribbon coil Forks. All was well until I tried to refit the lower casting. The issue was the Damper side rod was being sucked back into the Damper assembly. So no matter how much I tried I couldn't get the lowers screwed back on. Using some circklip pliers I got into the Damper side and managed to get it the rod to stay out enough by manipulating it back and forth a few times.

I've had this happen with these Forks to a lesser degree before when doing a lower service before but yesterday was by far the worst.

They need a Damper service soon anyway so I'll send them to TF Tuned but this had me a bit baffled.

There's a huge thread on Mtbr that might have the answer, only had mine apart twice so can't help further. Tech guys at Ison happy to talk too when I had queries if they are still operating
