looking at fitting some sus fork to the lads beinn26, its one of the older ones pre large and small sizing and I think form memory its a 1" steerer. Anyone done this and if so what forks did you use and was it worth it. Ideally will have v brake mounts.
also anyone done this to a beinn 24 as well?
Why don't you ring Islabikes? They will give you the correct advice on steerer and length.
Meself, I'd fit a carbon fork from eXotic, they ride so smooth that you don't really need boing and they are nice and light, which matters on kids' bikes.
cheers not thought of a carbon fork, the steerer is 1 inch just checked online.
The standard Islabikes alloy fork is quite stiff.
