Took the bolts out of the rocker assembly on my 2016 Trance to check the bearing numbers ready for a change.
All the bearing are branded 'TPX'. The rocker / seat stay bearings are 6900V-RS but the rocker main pivot bearings are 6900VRS.
Is there a difference between 'V-RS' and 'VRS'?
I have Googled but can't find anything definitive.
RS is normally rubber seal.
The VRS is the same as 2RS in this case.
Thanks, lovewookie.
My query though is does the hyphen mean anything? i.e. V-RS rather than VRS.
I'm confused as all the 6900 bearing are from the same manufacturer but have 2 different designations.
IME V-RS and VRS will not be any different.
Don't think the hyphen makes a difference. I vaguely recall the V being something like a 'low drag seal' - so probably not critical on pivot bearings.
