Did the Cut Gate on Tuesday night and riding the drop at the far end & the looong descent back to Langsett my outside fingers went numb, in fact my little finger hurt on my left hand.

I realise the problem could be gripping the bars too tight/not enough weight in my legs but even then it seemed harsh. I did my damndest to relax but truthfully a long run on Monday meant I was tired.

Sag is right so my only other choice is Rebound. This was set 8 clicks from minus.

The forks are Fox Float FIT 36R recently serviced & I weigh about 12st. Do you think it's too much rebound so the fork is packing down?

Yep too much or too little rebound will beat you up, or too much air pressure.

It could be compression but on that fork, you'd have to play with oil spec or upgrade the damper.

Long shot though as fox don't come with much compression damping.

Another thing to check will be brake position, I find too low - i.e. pointing down too much - and my hands start to hurt from being overstretched.

try thicker grips.

worked for me, no more painful pinkies.

I'll try knocking off the rebound a step at a time after rechecking the sag. Levers are ok. And I have some thicker grips in the garage.
Next problem, how to recreate those conditions without the drive to the Peaks.

Cheers one and all.
