So after migrating onto big wheels I now have various 26" wheels/tyres/tubes clogging up my shed.
It would seem rude not to put them to good use, so I was thinking about entering the 'Utility Bike' niche with a Surly Troll.
It would be used as a tough commuter and child transporter, occasional MTBer and possibly a round the world tourer if I have a mid life crisis.
Does anyone out there have of experience with the orange beast?
Does it ride like a proper MTB or does it's weight hold it back?
How does it ride with 100mm suspension?

With that thread title I presumed it was a thread asking about a certain forum member on the Chernobyl thread 😉
not much help I'm afraid
(cool name though)
Any Troll riders out there?
I've got one...
It would be a good choice for you plans.
Have used it fully rigid for a 1300km tour (mixed road and gravel tracks), weighed in at 70lbs fully loaded and performed great.
Now ride it with 120mm forks with no problem - it feels lively & the weight is not an issue, for me anyway.
