Hi All
Looking to treat my existing bikes to some new parts - has anyone tried a whisky No 9 carbon fork on an ICT ? Also looking at Chris King headset options, I think (!) it’s the inset 7 option
Any help appreciated đŸ˜‰

Surlys hate carbon.
Fact, my ICT would try and kill me if I put any carbon on it.
I have and love an Ice Cream Truck. I was out on it today.
In terms of changes, mine now runs on lighter My Other Brother Daryl aftermarket rims which saved quite a bit of rolling weight.
I also have a Bluto which is brilliant in terms of unlocking the tech riding potential of the bike.
My favourite upgrade was the addition of a Jones Loop Bar. I got used to it very quickly and love how it feels stretching out on road sections and kicking back on steep technical descents. I reckon it is a very good match for the bike.
I would be looking at those changes before switching to a carbon fork. It is a hooligan of a bike despite its weight.
Hope this helps?

Hi Sanny
Mmm I had been thinking about better rims, so that might be a better option - I have a set of blutos in the bike shed somewhere that might be in need of a service, so might get those out - and the Jones H bars I have on my Fargo, love them !

I definitely rate the Surly rims over the equivalent DT Swiss ones. I tested the latter and found them to be a bit on the soft side.
The Surly's weigh pretty much the same but have proven to be the superior option.
I too have a Fargo. You clearly have excellent taste!
Cheers
