I bought a superstar slackerizer headset but the crown race seems to be really loose. I thought these needed to be pressed in but it appears too big and just spins.

I emailed superstar about this but after initial reply i've not got a response. not sure if something to do with adding a video to email messes with their spam filter or something.

Is this normal? - lets see if i can post a video

It’s a split race, easy to fit and remove. If you can turn it fine, no surprise. If it’s so loose it rattles something is up but that’s not how it looks in that video

When it's all pressed together will it be an issue?

The angle on the bearing and the mating one on the race will snug it up

Yup, +1 for all of that, it's basically compressed by the bearing, there's no downside.

Fwiw I fitted a Hope one just yesterday on my Lyriks and it's a lot snugger than that, practically the same crown race but silver.
