UK made Shimano 40T only but

Shimano 42T, SRAM and additional colours launching soon. Unfortunately we cannot advise delivery dates until they are launched.

I saw this on FB, getting tempted even though I'm pretty sure I still need a double.

Do you need to fanny about with replacement mech cages for a 40t expander too?

I have the Hope T40 expander with a standard XT plus mech. Works fine.

Excellent news, at SS prices I might be tempted to give 1 x 10 another go, my last experience was with 1 x 9 on a 32t chainring and an 11-32 cassette. The range was horrible and the chain jumped off the front ring on several occasions.

One of their NW rings and this 40t cog sounds good though.

I'm going to give this a go when my drive train needs replacing next - running 1x10 using a 30t Raceface NW, no problems with low gears but spins out far too easily - will have to get the slide-rule out to work ouy how big a front cog I can run and keep the same sort of first gear with a 40t rear.
