Have a pair of Odi Cross Trainers on one bike but am wondering if S/S are as good / comfy etc ?

Waaaaay cheaper than ODI, but not as comfy/gruppy as corosstrainers IMHO. The 'mushroom' ones are nice, mind.

I suppose the crosstrainers are not twice as good as superstar for being twice as expensive, but then there are folk on here who will spend way more than that on some slightly lighter bolts.....

They don't do the mushrooms any more but I really liked them ones. I have x-trainers now and they don't feel as good as the superstars did. Bit thinner.

I have a set of the Super tacky soft compound and I like them a lot. I had Ourys and various other soft grips before. I like them a lot. They have worn quickly, but for the money they are ace. Always get great service from SS as well.

The SS ones are exactly the same as the Ragley ones from what I can see, but signif. cheaper. I'mm running the XL ones and they're more comfy than the ruffians one another bike.

Any grips with logos embossed into the grip pattern are just plain dumb as it makes the grip diameter and feel inconsistent!
I also fail to understand WTF anyone would want even more shite logos on their bike?

They're fine and don't cost much. I've put them on all my bikes. Grips are not something to obsess about.

Fitted some SS Supagripa's 6 months ago. I found them pretty grippy, although the dimpled surface & embossed logo all wore off within a few months. The rubber also seemed to wear to fit the profile of my grip hold on the bars 😕

Must be due to the rubber compound. Remained grippy in the dry, not so good in the wet.

Just replaced them with SS Excel grips. These are a couple of mm fatter, and feel very grippy with or without gloves. Time will tell how well they wear...

As above, most of the grip wore off of mine within a couple of months. I replaced mine with some Bontrager ones whhich have done me well for the last couple of months with no real sign of wear.

Not a big fan tbh. If nothing else, I like a decent cockpit and the Superstar logo looks next-level naff imo

The thin ones wear quickly but are comfy, especially if you have girls hands. Got the thick ones on two bikes at the moment and for the money, they can't be beaten, although as others have mentioned, they don't grip that well in the wet.

Oh, and you can get them in loads of colours and can customise the end caps. Decent.
