I'm thinking about changing wheels on my road bike. I have been using the Shimano R501 wheels that came with the bike. These have been on through winter and now the nicer weather is coming I fancy I change. Wheels are fitted with Vredstein Senso All Weather tyres (25mm) so now there is not a lot of clearance left around inside of chain stays.
I just wanted to check if I definitely need to stay away from current wider rims that are in fashion, just incase they balloon the tyre up too much that it rubs the frame?
Shouldn't be a problem wouldn't go any wider than a 25mm tyre but wider rim shouldn't effect the tyre that much that it will hit the frame, it is designed to be run with 23mm tyres though
