How bad?
A bit sore and red, in which case buy some cream and MTFU.
Blisters, go and see a medical professional.

only red and sore, re. the facetious sun cream remark, i do not know if it will prevent further burning when the skin is already damaged.

Aftersun cream to cool it down and cover it up to prevent more damage, then a nice high factor to prevent more damage in the future.

I would just go with a long-sleeved top. It seems like a clean, obvious and idiot-proof solution, if you have one. Or go vampire and ride only at night - in fact, I seem to remember that there are special vampire rings available that stop vampires from incinerating in sunlight, so one of those might work as well.

For future avoidance, the P20 stuff is brilliant, if expensive. Proper stick it on in the morning and forget about it stuff.

I think you'll find it's the other way round as after sun is about one tenth the price. 😉
