Had to abandon my MTB commute this morning so dumped the full suss in't car and went for a blat after I'd finished at work.

Now all I need to do is learn how to not mince about anything vaguely downhill or technical 🙄

Oh and I still can't decide if Stravaing is good training / incentive

I'm certainly riding quicker (when and where suitable) and noticed my fitness improved since using Strava for the past 2/3 months or so.

I try not to get carried away but I find it's a good tool, I have a few KOM's and lost some as well, and will be out later to try and get another as I'm in 4th place and 3 seconds away from 1st - yes that is a contradiction I know.

I also use it for running on my own segments.

I've just lost a KOM that I'd regained on Thursday from the same fella.

Part of me thinks yeah it's good competition but a bigger part thinks nah, I CBA.

I got my KOM with a 15 second lead.

It's the 2nd I've taken off the same person in a week, I know he will be out to take them back very soon.

There is one local segment where I'm 1st a friend 2nd and we have both agreed to call it quits as it's a slalom through the trees, and sooner or later one of us will clip a tree with our bars and end up in A&E.
