Complete opposite to Tons thread! As a sweaty b*stard, I find that nothing really works from a wicking point of view, then when we get to the pub stop I feel my self cooling down rapidly due to the sweat. I end up taking a spare top with me to change in. Any other sweaty b*stards have any solutions?

Patagonia Capeline light weight.

Edit: because it's so quick to dry when damp.

I wear a Gore sleeveless base layer in summer. It's enough to hold the sweaty top off my body and prevents that cooling feeling.

7Mesh Eldorado is great. Splits the difference between a base layer and jersey, I have both the SS and LS version and was happy wearing both as a single layer in summer. Wick well and dry quickly too. Fit is ace as always from them and unlike their other gear they're very well priced.

Get a couple of those ultralight sleeveless base layer vests.

Wear one, which will help wick sweat and keep you drier. Carry the other one with you (they weigh next to nothing) and change them over in the bog at your café/pub stop if you need to.
