I've just gone through the photo's recovered from a corrupt SD card.

And found this beauty.

Whilst descending at speed on a trail i'd never been down before, Yar tor to Badgers Holt on Dartmoor.
The trail of either grass on a sun baked soil or Granite wound it's way down through a wide passage in the gorse covered side of the Tor. Clattering through a small rock garden into a wide grassy clearing the trail ahead on me suddenly went very narrow, knowing the many hazardous secrets lurking on Dartmoor trails, i gave the brakes on my borrowed bike a heavy squeeze i order to scrub off a good deal of speed. The front brake grabbed harder then a planned locking the front wheel up. I quickly let go of my grip but it was too late, the front had washed out beyond recovery causing me and the bike to fall on it's side. After an amount of sliding and rolling everything came to a halt, my first concern was of being ran over by the half a dozen or more riders following behind. I looked around to see that i was not getting run over so climbed back on. My ribs were bruised from an attack from the saddle, however that was nothing compared to the reaction on my arm from flattening gorse with my arm. It throbbed a little that's for certain.

Good days riding though. 8)

It's getting closer mate.
Tell me, anywhere along the cleave that sprouts Snowdrops, bluebells, etc?

I can't say i've ever been there during the springtime..

I'd have thought that the whole valley sections of the cleave would be a carpet of bluebells come May. TBH I can't exactly recall but it seems highly likely.

Lovely that there Burchy.

I do recall that man Woody telling me that spring on the moor works a few weeks behind the rest of the world.

Snowdrops up here too now, so feels almost English.. 😉
