If I can get a place I'm going to head over to Ireland for the EWS round in Co Wicklow, never ridden in Ireland before. And maybe this Epic Cymru thing too. Will be struggling to afford a full on abroad holiday this year though.

Planned about 3 welsh trips this year and cancelled them all from injury and car trouble 🙁 Maybe I'll just do 3 next year!

Scotland epics for me; Ciaran Path, Kintail, Skye, Torridon and a multidayer in the Cairngorms.

Going back to Bike Village (excellent set up) 22nd August for a week. But may go a week earlier and have a look at Les Deux Alps and/or Alpes Duez and use the uplift. Will have room in the car for a couple more bikers if anybody interested. They would not have to do the BV thing, could camp nearby in Landry/Bourg/Aime and do there own thing.

Two weeks in Verbier with Bike Verbier. Got a camper van on order, hoping it will be ready by Easter, so will be touring in it around the UK and also extending the Alps Trip.

Heading out with Doug again this year Basque MTB. The biking and the banter is epic.

Then a week on Tiree later in the Summer. The most peaceful place i have ever been. Kitesurfing mecca.

We have a week in a cottage near Kirroughtree.

Jnr also has a week on a school trip to France.

Jnr, LittleMissMC and MrsMC also all have a week at an international Scout and Guide camp.

We seem to have run out of money for muggins here to do much for himself!

Booked gite for 10 days near Issoire - canoeing on the Allier and heading up to Super-Besse for some riding and walking round extinct volcanoes 8)
Stopping in Paris overnight on way home.
The 2000mile round trip from Scotland I am less enamoured with. 😐
First time abroad for our kids. 😀
Not quite sure how we are to pay for it yet. :/

3 months in Whistler for me & the wife.

The stars are aligning with work stuff so it should all work out quite nicely.

Shouldn't be too shabby 🙂

Lots of choices and hard to decide.

My list of possibilities so far...

Morzine/PDS again
Do the Mega or Mountain of Hell, though really I just want to ride the trails
Lake Garda
Basque
Madeira
Trans Provence or Savoie, not the events necessarily just a guided trip maybe
Bansko
Cervinia/Zermatt/Matterhorn area

unlikely for next year but on the list for a must do... Utah (Moab and/or northern Utah). Love the northern bits for skiing, must ride it but Moab looks awesome. Ditto Whistler has to be done, but it's kind of cliched. I'm sure it's amazing though.

North America trips though are more tricky to find people who want to go and can afford it.

After successive weeks in the Alps/or Whistler since 2010, I'm taking our bunch to the Lakes for a week of natural riding. Self catering & self guided.

Tried to organise a weeks guided riding in NW Scotland this summer, but it was about twice the price of a week in Alps fully catered. Pity.

Ciclo Montana in April, cottage on Arran for a week in July, somewhere nice in Spain or Italy in October. 2 or 3 lakes weekends, and a couple of Cairngorms ones too.

Lovely.

@northwind, if it was just me and mates I would, but taking OH, so blues and easy reds! and the odd bigger route for me, Nevis and Laggan fit the bill I can blast round the downhill red and OH can do the witches trails etc...

Not exactly summer but 5 days in the Pyrenees with a good pal whose just set up a guiding company over the last weekend in March. And then a bit more than a week in the Ardeche in late September. Already dreaming of blue skies and dusty trails in France 🙂

I'm taking a group to the Azores for a week of riding at the beginning of June, followed by a family rail tour of Europe in August (with a little bit of riding slipped in somewhere I'm sure 🙂 )

We were going to go to South Africa in the spring but decided to push it back a year so our youngest will be better able to appreciate it.

Will probably have two one week breaks well spread out rather than a big summer holiday. I might take eldest for a few days cycling holiday too.

Weekend in't Lakes end of Jan.
'ardrock Enduro Sat version in Aug.
Apr/May/June will probably be taking caravan to Skelwith Fold and riding from there. I work shifts and on my 6 days off we stay in 'van 😆
Annual hols are end June beginning July and probably exploring North East Eng/Northumberland and travelling north.
Pennines Way has been mentioned or a C2C....
I want to get over to Basque if possible, if not this year then next before I'm too old and slow 😉
