Managed to con the family into agreeing a trip to Saalbach, Austria.
Have booked an apartment that includes the Jokercard and close to the swimming pool in town. Am so excited!
Nice! Make sure you take lots of pictures of the trails so we can see what it's like!
is it a lift assisted type of place. could fancy a week riding nice not to tech downhills.
morning riding, afternoon relaxing would be nice.
From what i've seen, it's easy xc/lift assisted riding which is my kind of thing really. Have watched a few YouTube vids of the biking there and it looks ok. Probably not as amazing as some places I bet but fine for a relative ungnarrrly hardtail rider like me!
A lot of the accommodation there includes a "jokercard" as part of your stay which gives free lift access, along with free access to the local pool/water park and other discounts. I figure it will help us limit spending and allow some nice family hiking/picnics and days out.

Sweet I've beent there snowboarding in the winter and was eyeing the trails for riding, should be good. Where are you staying?
We're staying in an apartment in Saalbach itself on the Skiliftstrasse. it's within walking distance of the shops and Kapt'N Hook splash park.
Pulling the trigger on a week in Morzine in July tomorrow.

You might like Chatel. Bike bus from the square up to the first lift, lots of easy DH runs and cafés to hang about in.

It's ok to let out a little whoop whoop. We're all friends here.
