Right, I have finally persuaded the lady that we should go on a holiday that doesn't just entail the pool and food.
I obviously would be all for biking for a week in the mountains but she's not an avid biker, although a day or 2 on the bike wouldn't be frowned upon.
She would however be interested in a bit of white water rafting, scrambling, high level walking, and general fun activities.
Searching the web has only really returned alpine elements as an option, equally searching STW has returned that this is not a good option.
So to the question: Any companies out there that can organise a variety of activities for a week? Or am I best off booking into a resort with biking and organising ourselves for the other stuff? Where to go for variety of activities etc.

Thanks for any advice/info.

Matt

I's personally recommend hofnar, they do multi-activity holidays in the Alps (Morzine) stayed with them last year, booked again for this year.

http://www.hofnar.com/index.php/summer-stuff/holidays-and-tours/multi-activity-weeks/

We go as a largeish group, half are avid mountain bikers, the other half go for the activities, so it's prefect for us.

That looks just the kind of thing we're after, seems a reasonable price too. Will run that one by the boss.
Anyone done Saalbach in the summer? They seem to have a few reasonable hotels on the website, guess the cost of getting there may be higher.

How about combination of beach and activities? Neilson Beachplus are ace!

She can spend as long as she likes basking in the sun, while you play with bikes, boats, wakeboards etc. And, if she wants to, she can join in as much as she wants to. The strapline "Relax as hard as you like" is pretty apt, IMO.

Nice one CFH, will check them out as well. Did have a quick look on the nielson website as we've used them for mountain traying holidays before.

all these guys offer multi activity holidays in europe.

undiscovered alps - alps

scorpio - bosnia herzegovina

preseli venture - wales

apologies for the slight plug - muchbetteradventures is my company, however all these companies below are locally owned, independent and have decent sustainability policies in place - i'm confident they're all great holidays which are relevant to what you are after!

🙂

if mods would prefer this post not to appear, feel free to remove it. we sent banner ads to STW this morning for more formal advertising!

Thanks for that hungry monkey, nice website. Do the prices vary according to time of year? I always get hammered on price due to having to go in the school holidays, but that's the price I pay for being a teacher.

thanks! new site about to launch, with a completely new build and system... multi activity holidays not launching for a month or two though - would have been perfect for your situation (works on a request system, where you add your holiday request and companies send individual replies to you...)!

anyway...

can't guarantee how the prices will change - we merely put you in touch with the company, we don't process payment.

best thing to do would be to enquire, and give them as much detail as you can, with dates, and what you want to do - you'll get a more accurate price then 🙂

EW, if you do decide Neilson is a possibility, let me know on here and I'll fill you in with some details on the various locations. (Halkidiki is my fave, BTW)
