looking in to a short 4 day bike tour over easter with the wife and kids one 8 on his own bike one 5 on the tandem. We live in the north lakes so looking to go somewhere different. Either into Scotland or elsewhere in northern England. Can camp or stay in hostels. any suggestions out there. Looking at short days up to 20 miles.

Newcastle to Berwick - up the coast
Newcastle to Consett and down to Sunderland on the wagonways.
Reivers' Route as far as Brampton if roads are in.
