Loads to do - sugfest you start with a look at the PDF download here

http://www.romanlakes.co.uk/mountain_biking.htm

When are you riding? You could tag along with our gang if times match

You can get into Stockport Park and pick up canal towpaths, footpaths through the woods etc rather than go up the A6. Eventually it brings you out by Swizzels Matlow, the sweetie factory in New Mills on the towpath.

Shame, we're out Saturday this week as we're busy on Sunday.

Note that a couple of local trails are closed due to damage

this one is not worth bothering with

this one is still ok as a descent if you go through the pub car park

Get the 1:25000 OS map. Highlight the BW's and cycle paths (old railway), and then you'll see there are loads.

The wife and I are riding from Woodbank Park to Shootng Cabins and back on Sunday morning. Very little on road at all.
I'll see if she's got a gpx from the last time we did it if you'd like it?
It's sort of Woodbank singletack, Pooh Sticks Bridge, Brabyns, Roman Lakes, Mellor Cross, Shouty Dogs, Lantern Pike, Middlemoor and then back by the cricket club, Wesy Hill, Furness Vale Bastid Up, Lyme Park, Woodbank.
