Who's using it?
Any recommendations on which video to choose...?
Ta
used them earlier in the year a fair bit, this winter i have managed to find a night riding crew and bought some descent winter kit,
anyway, Angels was my first download and fav,
quality training videos. I think downward spiral is the hardest, angels a close second...
Anyone using them with rollers?
not sure if they'd be great with rollers, depends on your skill on them really, and if you can crank up the power on them or not...
Go to the site and you can get a break down of each workout.
Like AMT27 say Angels (climbing) is good, I've also got Local Hero (longer endurance workout), Downward Spiral (descending intervals) and A very dark place (5x 4min all out intervals); quite honestly they are awesome to the point I can choose them over an outdoor ride
I got my first one recently (Fight Club) using on turbo. It's tough but I managed to do twice the turbo time compared just pedalling.

I was going to buy some roller until I came across sufferfest
Thats what I was thinking.....I have a turbo but the wife's bike is wired into it...cant be bothered switching bikes all the time...
I did have my heart on rollers but looking at Sufferfest this idea might have just changed...

They maybe good but getting out and doing it for real has to be better, unless it is lashing it down or sheet ice out there. 😉
I'm thinking of rollers, but just to do tempo workouts and to warm up for TTs and crits. I'll stick to the turbo for sufferfests,
I recommend trying trainer road (www.trainerroad.com) if you have ant+ sensors for virtual power stats.
Excellent integration with the sufferfest videos and base the intervals intensity on your threshold power - made my work outs much harder than just going by the RPE scale.
Revolver was brutal
I end up using Angels most of the time
cheers clowner that looks just what im after
Angels usually but just got the girls version today - looking forward to that.
The ones I've tried have been good but Downard Spiral hurts the most, so is best.
ummm....which one's easiest? I ask this as I'm a little out of shape following a broken wrist - not back on the bike yet but got the turbo set up and going for the first time this winter (after acquiring from a friend mid-last winter and using it 3 or 4 times). I watched final score whilst doing it, but it wasn't very inspiring, I need something to keep me going...
Or does anyone have any recommendations of similar products? I've had a look at Global Ride (linked through on sufferfest) but I'm not sure if the US dvds would work on my telly and they're pricier and slower to get hold of than sufferfest.
I really like The Hunted because i can imagine almost being cut from a pro team!
In terms of how easy they are, it is kind of up to you. When they tell you to go at 7 effort, that is different for everyone.
I use Angels and The Hunted, Local Hero will be my next download.
They really are quite awesome.

FTFY. Can I also say that the music on the Sufferfest stuff I've used is awful in the way that only American music can be. I wish they'd produce a blank version with just the interval cues on so you could add your own soundtrack. Obviously it's a matter of taste, or mostly lack of it... 😉
I'd rather go riding.
Took the plunge and downloaded angels....
What can I say!
Loved it...best turbo session ever...
I was wrecked.
I used to hate the turbo and got bored after a few mins...not anymore.
Let the sufferfest begin.
Highly recommended
Oh and I didn't mind the music tbh
I'm thinking of getting a couple of these but can't yet see the attraction of replaying the same session again and again. Sure, they get rave reviews everywhere, but I just can't see the 'fun' in going over the same route/'instructions' etc.
Anyone had the same expectations but ended up converted?
It's only some visuals to keep you interested really, but it is quite effective. There's not much "fun" to be had in turbo sessions but these do take the tedium out of it somewhat by occupying your mind a little. In the wrecked physical state that these can induce you don't want anything that needs too much mental effort!
if you have a few and rotate them they don't get old too fast. plus you're always hoping for a different, less painful, ending.
