You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Looking at the DTswiss R23 as the best of the bunch, CERO AR30's are nice but at 90kg i think 1600g is a more reasonable weight target. Like stiffness as i'm not the most refined rider.
Ultegra 6800's can be had for £250 but i'm not sure on the 16/20 spokes.
Anything better sub £300 at the moment? The R23's come in at just under. Need something in stock as my rear wheel is mostly held together by ductape after giving up on a few spokes today.
I think that I can slap a 10spd cassette on an 11 speed hub, is that right? All the new road wheels seem to be 11spd. I'm not forking out for that as well!

Yes, you just need a spacer which generally comes with the wheels.
Any of these three sets.
Bit lighter
The R24s are only slightly heavier (Different hub but same rim I think) and are £99 a set: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/dt-swiss-r24-spline-wheelset/rp-prod155277
Superstar have some Reynolds Carbon on Icon Ultra hubs for £279 with a BF code - mine coming soon 8)
Stealth edit: wrong thread!
I'm 98kg and have ridden the older ultegras for a while. No problems yet.
Have a look at hunt- great wheels for the money. £39 over your budget but worth it i reckon..
Thanks guys looked at all those, hand builts close second but stuck with DT's for the same money, i've got spline wheels on other mtb's and they've been totally flawless. Watch this pair fall to bits in a week! The ultegra's can be had from £220 from Merlin at the mo if anyone's looking..
The hunts are really nice, they'd tempt me but no stock available for a while and i want them on the bike mid week!

which I think should be a 1.85mm spacer - for 10speed on an 11 speed shimano think you also need a 1.00mm spacer that usually come with the cassette
..feel free to correct me - just been looking this up and this was what I concluded but am open to correction......and if anyone has any idea what happened to the spacer that came with the hub that would be useful...I know it did come and usually i stick spare bits in ziplocks and label them... 😥
Yip im fairly positive you need a 1.85mm spacer and the supplied 1mm.. just fitted a 10 speed cassette to an 11 speed hub..
Just fitted some Hunts to my best road bike, lovely quality just waiting for some half decent weather and the opportunity to get out and ride.
(Road Aero btw)
