Righto chaps and chapesse(s)
Can we pin down a date for this as I need to book the weekend off work (to make sure I'm not oncall).
May the 1st or May the 8th?? (Sundays).
Who wants longer and who wants shorter??
Who's doing the meet stickaz?????
Thanks for changing the thread title 🙂
I've still not sorted out my hols yet, but the 8th might be better for me - although i'm only a maybe until my hols are confirmed. I'll decide on distances nearer the time when i see how my legs are doing after a sportive at the end of April and around 400miles in the sun somewhere.
400 miles in the sun? 😯
This is proper northern riding, everyone must have painfully white skin 😉
Hmm what?
Drac - ModeratorHmm what?
Hmm what? what Lee?
Don't know how relevant but SSEC is on the (long) w/e of 29th April - 1st May.
I don't do acronyms Neil and may have missed another thread so curious to what your on about.
M.A.M.I.L = Middle Aged Men In Lycra
dirtygirl wanted a different title as she's neither male nor middle aged. 😆
Basically, it's a road-themed STW meet. 😀
Ah right got you now, yeah I may be up for some of that if I can get some fitness back. Yeah I know I'm not middle aged and don't wear lycra but hey.
8th May is best for me.
You may have forgotten I'm Scottish so despite my holiday, I'll probably still be pale, but sporting paler hands and feet 😀 hope I can make this.
8th May is better for me as it means trying to find someone to do my on call for me on the 1st (can't get a week in advance for shifts but oncalls are allocated until June - go figure 😕 ).
Don't worry about the fitness thing Lee, I've hardly been on a bike for the past couple of months (weather/work/illness/bad back 🙁 ). Once you get over Carter Bar it's relatively [s]hilly[/s] flat until you come out of Bellingham (as I'm sure you're well aware of). I mentioned starting from Morpeth for some peeps who asked about a longer ride 😯 (takes it from 60+ to 100+ miles, and then some).
