Hi
So the Mrs has sanctioned a full suspension BUT under £2k on finance now I am OK with that but wondering what's out there?? I'd prefer a shimano drive train anyone know of a special deal going down I don't know about?
I prefer 'old school' geometry my back struggles with all this low slung stuff
Any and I mean any advice warmly welcome
Many thanks

In case you have a misconception about the long low slack thing them the 'low' usually refers to bottom bracket height and the 'long' is the horizontal distance from bottom bracket to front axle and/or wheelbase so neither have a direct bearing on handlebar height. In fact you might find a modern geo bike more upright than something old school.

In classic fashion though I'll say it first: go and demo some bikes or at least sit on them in shop so you can get a better idea of the riding position.

Paul’s Cycles seem to always have previous years’ models at discounted prices, could be worth a look?

What sort of riding do you normally do? And what is your current bike?
This info might help folks make relevant suggestions!

Leisure Lakes have got a couple of bikes in that price range in their sale.

Also, have a look at an aluminium YT Jeffsy

How big are you?

This 20” Cube Stereo seems a great deal

As above modern steep seat angle with a slack head angle makes the seating position much more touringesq than a 90mm dropped stem and arse up old geo.

I'd say last year's white 130 or 129 would be worth a punt if you can find one.
