Thinking cheap 26'' HT that will take large volume tyres

it's so good they've knocked 60% off it before it's even been born.

that said you can hang bits off it so you'll probably end up with a bike once built.

Edit: a heavy bike.

I bought one 2nd hand and seems ok. not to bad on weight, built 1x9 with 130mm fork. top tube runs low, i got a 16 and feels like a oversize bmx but its fun
