You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Having enjoyed the TdF all the more for having a fantasy team in the STW league I thought I'd create a league for the Veulta starting in a few days.
With Froome, Contador!, Quintana, and last year's winner Horner all involved it should make for some good racing.

League Name: STW Fantasy Veulta
League Code: 20201923
Nice one 🙂
*goes off to procrastinate over team selection*
I'm in. Did my team last night but fought against creating a STW league after creating the STW TdF one and failing miserably, hopefully this time...........
Having left Quintana out of my team i'm off to find a gambling cashback deal to put £25 on him for GC
Christ almighty - they're not takin many chances with the odds!
Nice preview at CyclingTips to help people select their team.

Little bump for the evening crowd
Just had a peek at the scoring system.
Nice and straightforward eh?
Now up to 22 teams, any more takers?
Just had a peek at the scoring system.Nice and straightforward eh?
Just pick a team of riders you like, much easier....
I'm in; you losers might as well forget about it now 😀
Oooh, 23 teams in. I've got a good chance of a top 20 place this time at least 😛
Horner is out so time to change your team if you picked him.
Interesting case of the MPCC rules being tighter than the UCI's.

More to it than that?......
Horner is out so time to change your team if you picked him.
I sincerely hope nobody had the brass neck to pick him.
I'm in, with the mighty Winner Anacona on my team I can't fail!
He could have picked up good mountain points, and possibly a stage win once he was out of contention for the overall.
On par with other riders rated at 12, no?
He could've got a lot of points but he's way too fishy for my taste.
My team has a strict anti-doping policy based on my own prejudices and a vague knowledge of pro road racing.
The winning team is in....
I'm in.
Come on lads - get the blood bags out of the fridge.
I had Horner as likely to have done well I thought.
Bertie's the gamble, maybe he's letting us think he's not as strong as he really is....
I'm a notorious jinx with these things, so apologies in advance if you have the same riders as me...
Congrats to team Dougal and the Blue Cat, DS Buxton, who won todays stage with 113 points.
The day's honours go to Team Moopi, DS Simon Abbot with 251 points.
Team Moopi also lead to overall with 302 points
Sorry late to the party ;0)
May have got lucky...
Just wanted to pop my head in the door to say thanks to theswedishchef for setting up the league and to revel in the first place before my team drop down the standings like a stone!
<cough>sorry<cough>
Stage 3 kudos goes again to Team Moopi, DS Simon Abbot, with 365 points.
Overall we have team Levello, DS TomL, leading with 685 points.
I'm now regretting picking riders with rainbow thoughts on their minds rather than Red or Green jerseys.....
Stage 4 winnings go to team Digital epo, DS Crell, with 285 points.
Overall team Levello, DS TomL, extend their lead, now on 959 points.
Stage 5 honours go to team Levello, DS TomL, with 346 points, team Levello therefore extend their lead, they are now on 1325 points.
#smugmode
The first hilly stage goes to team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy with a huge 524 points!
Overall business as usual, #smugmode continues for tomlevell
Oof not really.
Almost my entire lead gone!
524 points is quite a haul for one stage! (231st place overall for stage 6)
Balls!!
I got 504 points for the stage. Not only did I not win... I got beaten by the bloody other half!
*prepares silent treatment*
Just seen this thread - Good work TSC.
Fortunately I'd hauled team Lampshade back out in time so I'm they're back in.
Maybe I can stay the distance this time.
Stage 7 glory goes to Team Cheese, DS swavis with 456 points.
Overall Team Levello, DS TomL hold on to a 24 point lead over team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy, who in turn are well over a 100 points clear of Digital epo, DS Crell in third.
Stage 8, getting hilly now, team Team Moopi, DS Simon Abbot rides away with the glory by one point over our perpetual leader team Levello, DS TomL.
Nice work boys.
Stage 10, TT with actual hills, Team The Naked Rayguns, DS Cloudnine take the honours with 519 points, (just 10 more than a certain Chefs Choice).
And a change in the overall, with team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy taking a 3 point lead over team Levello, DS TomL.
Stage 11, one contender down, honours to team Vuelta a Mann, DS JW with 644 points! Good enough for 22nd overall today, nice numbers those.
Overall, Vuelta a Mann also takes over at the top, with 3003 points, well done JW.
Boooooom.
That was my team blowing up big style today.
Stage 12, around in circles, honours to team Cheshire Alps, DS Kai, with 257 points.
Overall JW's team Vuelta a Mann are looking good on 3136 points, or 160th in the real overall, (even more impressive is that the team still has two guys on zero points!)
Double post, sorry
Stage 14, steep in places, honours to team Fast n Bulbous, DS Ed2001, with 294 points.
Overall team Vuelta a Mann are on 3685 points
Stage 15, some more fun in the hills, bragging rights to team Vuelta a Mann, DS JW, with a huge 566 points, (which is top 100 overall for the stage).
This is getting seriously stressful for me now.
From a fantasy perspective I'm loving seeing Froomey diesel up on the climbs, but as the tour goes on that cheeky £20 I had on Contador could buy me some nice new bike bits!
Better get shopping then scaled.
What odds did you get for the win?
Feeling slightly less stressed now, scaled? 😀
Cracking stage - a fight, the top 5 battling it out up the final climb, and Bertie powering away for the win. The kind of stage I missed in the Tour!
Stage 16, BOOM! that was GC racing, honours go to team Merkelbeek Roulers, DS higthepig, with 568 points.
No change in the overall with Vuelta a Mann still holding a 300 point lead over Digital EPO in second.
Stage 17, a day for the fast boys, honours to team Smoggies Smokers, DS Howard Neale, with 271 points.
Overall, no change with Vuelta a Mann leading with 4784 points
I got in there before they'd turned a pedal, at 9/1. I'm quite happy.
Looking forward to them getting back in the mountains today
Nice odds scaled, congrats!
OK stage 18, short, hilly, and intensive, honours to team Vuelta a Mann, DS JW, with 461 points.
Overall, Vuelta a Mann extend their lead.
Stage 19, classic Hansen so freaking cool! Honours to team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy with 274 points.
Overall Vuelta a Mann are still sitting on top with 5399 points.
Just a couple left now.
Stage 20, that was GC racing, honours to team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy with 274 points.
Overall, with one stage left, Viva Vuelta are looking good on 5772 points.
Stage 21, another final day TT, honours to team Levello, DS TomL, with 209 points.

2nd - Team Digital epo, DS Crell on 76106 points
3rd - Team Viva Vuelta, DS Aidy on 6905 points
A last hurrah with my TT joker who wasn't allowed to race the first TT :0(
Then I sank without trace to 6th overall.
