Due to some recently great seeming events of STW massiveness, I thought I'd post up and see if there's any interest for Afan on the 21st Dec ?

Crosshair on here has shown an interest, but it's just me and him at the moment.

Potentially Blade and W2 would be the order of the day I guess.

Anyone fancy it ?

Tempted! Only issue is a Christmas party the night before.

What is the likely assembly time? Presumably at the SkylineCafe?!?

I'd expect 9.30 start possibly 10 if it helps others out.

Depends where we're going to ride first really as to top or bottom café.

I'd be up for that, despite my natural fear of "meeting people of the internet" I'm a bloody slow climber but I'm pretty dam good at being equally slow on the descents!

Well, I'm certainly no whippet, either up or down. If we start at the lower centre and do the Wall first for example it gives a good warm up for people to get into it and depending on how many come we can decide if we run as a longer group of riders or split into 2 for the climb/descent. I know at least 1 of my mates who posts on here as Crust is on the slower side of almost dead when it comes to climbing, but it's no biggy, we just wait and have the banter while they're climbing a bit slower.

Or we could start off over at Whites and then grab lunch after Whites before Wall in the afternoon.

I'm totally in the hands of whoever comes really. I'd like to do Blade as I've not ridden it but I'm just as happy to head out and do Skyline too 🙂

What could work is to star at the old Afan site, do the Wall climb, the W2 traverse, miss the Energy trail, stay high, ride around to Windy Gap, do the Blade from there, lunch at the Skyline cafe then either Whites or Wall descent (after Whites climb. And back.

Works for me, although I often don't know the way very well round the top part. So will need someone with a bit more knowledge than me on the day for the bits like that.
