2000 rockhopper with 63mm rockshox Judy forks, bought new at Hardisty cycles in Newcastle, now Edinburgh coop. Blue and white frame. I'll have a pic somewhere.

Would still have it if some scroat hadn't nicked it and a subsequent stumpy fsr out my garage.

2001, S-works m4 hard tail with rock show psylo race. Hope mini up front and an avid v brake on the back (went to rear disc in 2004)
The frame and forks are still hanging in the garage, I might get round to rebuilding it one day!

A Dave Hinde Dragon, (yeah, THAT Dave Hinde) with AMP research forks. My daughter was one so it wasn't seeing much action.

Still doing good duty as my uncle's pub bike, without the forks.

No photos sadly.

Some great photos and bikes in this.

Here's my contribution.

In 1999 I finally bought the frame I'd always lusted over.

After only a few months, I had a go on my mates Heckler and ended up with this.

The superlight frame cracked in 2007 and got the newer design on the crash replacement scheme. Still got the frame and kit to make a bike - should do it.

And now, have these two plus a new Carbon On One Whippet that doesn't have any pictures of its current form.

20 years ago I was a relative noob having been riding for 2.5 years. I'd had my Marin Attack trail for about 14 months and was about to Jump to an Orange Sub5. In retrospect, they were basically the same bike, but I knew a lot less about what I was looking for back then.

Marin Attack Trail

After a number of Orange's, Turners, Cotics, On-ones, And a few micro Brands, Now, I have this.

Vendetta Custom

And I'm building one of these.

I don't have a clearer picture of mine, but roughly 20 years ago was my first trip to Afan:

@P20 ha ha! I did a google image search for “steel Specialized stumpjumper” and it was one of the first results!

Lovely bikes!

20 years ago, I was riding a DBR zetec pro xc bike - 63mm manitou SX forks, silly light Mavic wheels and lots of XTR. Spent 5 or 6 years abusing it, and put a crack in the chainstay so swapped the frame for couple of beers.

I also was riding a Sunn Radical+, complete with upside down obsys forks, large floating disks and high pivot suspension... very ahead of its time. I think that it was 2001, maybe '02, it got stolen, and the insurance company replacement was a Schwinn straight-8 with boxxers.

Sadly no photos...
Now riding far too many bikes, not sufficiently often!

This thread really makes a strong case for a "like" function on this forum.

You too? Yeah mine died that way. Got the later model but never liked it as much. I think maybe a week in Morzine in 2003 may have done the damage 🙂

2001 Kinesis Maxlight Raw with a mix of 3x9, Psylos, Big Al Mavic wheels - now relegated to paper round bike 🙁
2021 Turner RFX. Like it a lot, hope it never dies!
And my Turner tribute photo for the years in between. 🙂
