Okay Guys i need some quick opinions.
I am going out this afternoon to pick up my stumpjumper fsr expert 2010 for £1700
I am having some second thoughts.
I am considering the heckler frame to build up with my current parts: or a better SC frame.
RS pikes u turn dual air, dt swiss 340's on mavics, avid juicys, funn bars/stem.

Which would be a better bike?

i have also considered the orange five?

Thanks
Chris

I have both. The Heckler is magical. Burlier and more capable on the rough stuff. Spesh is still a great bike but everyones got one. Heckler all the way for me.

I had a heckler, bought after selling my 06 enduro, really found the heckler OK but nothing outstanding. Had problems with the bearings which I was suprised never had with my fsr bikes. I have since had 2 enduro's and now a Stumpjumper with the brain and just better all round. Get the SJ you won't be dissapointed. Its such a sure footed bike especially on the downs.
Hecklers are hugely popular but around my local trails Brechfa) back to back found the stumpy/enduro more sure footed.
I found my previous 04 Gemini more fun than the heckler.

You won't find a better value bike than the stumpy for that money. Good kit, extremely capable frame. You'll be able to comfortably and quickly deal with anything a UK trail centre can throw at you. The only reason i would choose a heckler or five over it would be either to take abroad or for badge snobbery (says the cotic rider!). The best rider I know has a 2010 stumpy and loves it - having owned or ridden loads of more exotic alternatives.

Got a 2008 120mm Spesh myself and very pleased with it as it was gvfm but am now after something with a bit more travel as my riding has come on.Your typical Britsh type trail centre bike with the capability to do a bit more.I dont doubt that the 2010/11 Speshs fit the bill but would rather go for a frame and swap/upgrade the parts I've already got.
Looked at a SC Heckler frame as the price is right but now holding out for one of these

Fingers crossed that they are as good as they promise
