Spring is (apparently) just around the corner and I'm looking at my 2014 Stumpjumper with a critical eye at the head angle. As it has an integrated headset, I won't find an angleset or similar to fit and I'm running a Monarch so clearance between the forward shock mount and shock body is extremely tight - if I fitted an offset shock bushing, I'm reasonably confident that the shock would foul the forward mount.
I've been looking at a Bikeyoke, but it's designed for a standard shock (with eyelets at either end), so it's out of the question for my Monarch which has a proprietary Specialized fitting for the stock shock yoke.
I'm already running my bike with a 150mm Pike, but I guess that I'm all out of options for slackening the front unless I can modify the existing yoke by shaving a couple of mm.
Has anyone found a way to slacken their Stumpjumpers that I haven't considered above?
650 wheel out back?
"650 wheel out back?"
Radical, but there's no reason why it wouldn't work. I hadn't thought of that.
My 650 stumpy came with a spacer that went between the headtube and lower bearing. It was to remedy and 'botch' of using a 29er front triangle on the 650's for that year. Although, it worked to add about 12mm stack height and correspondingly slacken the steering angle. Might be worth asking a Spcialized dealer if they have one/could source one.
like this....

I got an offset shock bush on my stumpy evo with a monarch plus.
where did you get that from Trusty?

great, thanks for that.I'll take a look.
