i changed my pads recently but when i looked at them the other night i noticed one side was more worn than the other and that pad also had more wear at the top of the pad...at the time i though it was down to a bit of play in the hub which has bee sorted but now i'm wondering if the brake contributed to this also

so i took out the new pads to find that the pistons on one side of the caliper dont fully retract. with the now pads the brakes still work with no rubbing noises but the fact that one side is wearing faster than the other was me concerned.
i've tried to push the pistons back using a plastic trye lever. ive also put the old p[ads back in and used them and a flat screwdriver to push them back in. i can hear a gritty sound coming from them as they slowly retract.
ive cleaned the pistons with a brush before putting the new pads back in and used a hayes pad spacer to again push the pistons back.
i've even done this with the screw on the lever reservoir undone in case there was air trapped in the system.

other than a full bleed any suggestions what could be the problem as the pistons are starting to creep out again?
or should i send them back for warranty work? they are less than 2 years old

All I can tell you is that Bike Discount sent my 18-month old set of Zee brakes back to Shimano for this - and I just got a new pair.

best part of a month

I can imagine CRC might just refund or replace on receiving them though?

I took my bike in to the shop last week for a leaking piston on a new rear saint brake wasn't right when they were fitted, any way took in in on Monday and they told me about a 7-10day turn around from Madison so that's not to bad, only thing is weather has been really nice last few days and I really wanted to get out
not sure whether they will fix it or just send a new rear brake
