The frame is a Megatower V2, post is a OneUp v2 dropper.
This morning dropper lever was floppy after a couple of goes, thought it could have been the mechanism at the bottom of the post so pulled dropper almost all the way out before realising that the cable had pulled from the lever, so pushed the post back down and headed back to change the cable as the end was frayed. Went to pull the post out again but it will only pull (now quite stiffly) about 50mm out of the frame but no more, I can push it back down. The post will turn all the way round in the seat tube (as tried twisting etc to get it out) but will not budge any further out, I’m guessing something is catching, but what!? There is no way of getting at the base of the post any other way. I’ve put the bike away now as don’t want to do something I immediately regret and I’m going to speak to the lbs tomorrow but not entirely sure what they can do. I’m resigned to taking the hit on the seatpost if it needs to be destroyed in removal, but I’m not sure how given it’s a dropper!
Any ideas from the hive mind?
sounds a lot like you've trapped "something"
Fully internal routing ?
Get the BB out and wish you'd trained as a gynaecologist - try to pull the cable outer back towards you
Are you now pulling the frayed end of the cable through the outer as you try to pull the seatpost out? That could be hard work.
Fully internal routing, can’t get to from bb area due to shock tunnel.
Freyed end not quite going into housing at current time but will snip it.
