Stuck hollow tech II? Removal tips

Just to check before I really start hammering (or hacksawing)...

I removed the blank plug and then the plastic piece inside. I've inserted the shimano removal tool and then tried tightening it (RIP two screwdrivers) but it hasn't budged.

I've tried tapping with a flathead screwdriver between the crank and BB but nothing seems to have moved much.

I've tapped a bit harder but still no real movement.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Doesn't look like a Shimano hollow tech bb to me?

Does it use a self extracting Allen key type bolt to remove the crank?

I’ve just realised that I shouldn’t have removed the large bolt from the non-drive side. The extraction tool worked extremely well!

I think the procedure is to remove plastic ring. Leave the big alloy thing with a allen key hole. Screw in the tool, undo the big alloy thing with a allen key and it should pull the crank off.

Sounds like you've sussed it now, this video covers installation then removal though
