Guys,
I am calling on your collective wisdom because I am really struggling to find a truly compatible front mech for my Specialized enduro 2004. I had a shimano LX M570 and with a 34.9mm clamp. The original mech has worn out and the pivots have that much play it doesn't shift correctly now and the bike is not rideable.
I want to keep up riding through the winter and this is hindering me!
Can anyone recommend a suitable alternative or do you have a M570 mech. I *think* its a top swing bottom pull.
Thanks
Mr. Desperate!

Is it fairly compact, ie, the cage and mount are on the same plain?

Or is the mount much higher than the cage?

High up = Bottom swing, low down = top swing. Most are dual pull nowadays.

My 05 spec FSR worked with either swing, and was bottom pull. I'd say you'll be fine with any 34.9 mech!
