Been giving it some welly with the wire wool on my Deores but the fiddly bits around the chain ring tabs look like they're going to be a nightmare. Can anyone reccommend a good way of stripping the rest of the paint off thats easier than wire wool?

I know someone "Jones'd" some Deores on here a while back but I've searched for the thread and can't find it...

Cheers
Dave

Caustic soda is the weapon of choice for stripping them, IIRC.

I have a drill mounted kit with graded mops & soaps, that worked very quickly on the polishing bit.
£12 & its yours...
