hi trying to get rear mech working again but barrel adjuster tread in mech body is no more. rather than just spend out more money has anyone got any bright ideas to bodge this back together? thinking of turning bit of aluminium bar, drilling mech out, fit plug, drill and thread... job jobbed(possibly) refit barrel adjust and go.

If you could fit a nut on the cable adjuster thread and have that against the aperture on the rear mech with the stripped thread wouldn't that work?
