hey up. On my shifter somehow the bolt hole thread has got stripped. It is the hole where the little bolt that goes through the clamp goes into. This holds the shifter assembley to the clamp and therefore the bars. After 3 or 4 downshifts it just comes loose and falls off.
It will tighten and doesn't go past the tighteness but the same happens shortly after.
A new shifter is £28 so not the end of the world. Any ideas for a bodge until a new shifter arrives? electricians tape round the bolt? zip the shit out of it? lol
thanks

It's a GX eagle shifter if that makes any difference.

If its the thread in the shifter, just remove the blanking plug from the other hole and use that. if its the bolt, then I'd go for new bolt and using the other hole

I think its a 2.5mm hex key to remove the blanking plug. Shown on the left in the pic/link
