Most Active on Strava - 2%
No commuting, only leisure - happy with that at my age.
Retired? If so, you have an advantage sir...
Most Active on Strava – 2%
Sorry, but what does that mean?
Sorry, but what does that mean?
It means he’s not as good as me: Top 1% 😆😆😆😆
Bit poor 1700 miles 130000ft climing
Ah. Top 2%. That wasn't quite clear. I don't think I can get those stats as I'm don't pay Strava. I do use VeloViewer though but I should really wait until 31st before rounding off my years totals. Both distance and elevation will be down from previous years as I've been concentrating on running rather than riding in 2023.
not a bad year for a fat old grandad.

I will have done just over 4,000km or 250hrs - average 5hrs a week, which doesn't seem much though! Majority are mtb rides.
Top 1% as well and pretty non serious cyclist, just a couple of rides a week, no longer commute (WFH) so mileage has reduced quite a bit.
I'm way down on previous years...
About 3500km as opposed to 5000+km the last few years.
Didn't cycle for nearly the whole of March due to illness, but older kids + clubs, etc. eats into cycling time!
Weirdly, I'd say fitness is as good as ever though 🤷♂️ still picking up a few KOMs on local trails.
Surely it's a bit early to declare with 4 days still to go?
Yeah, I’m top 2% too…
6830km on the bike, 62480m climbed according to Veloviewer.
1073 new explorer tiles too, which is nice.
I quit strava at some point last year, then decided in January to start again but not upload commutes. Change of job in the summer increased my commuting distance putting a drain on my energy levels such that I've hardly run since then, and cycling has become almost exclusively commuting on the bike. Pretty much stopped using Strava.
Strava always gives your final stats mid December which does seem a bit odd - I guess they count the last days of dec on the first part of next year? Or they increase after the data dump 🤷🏻♂️. Top 1% for me, although down on last year’s numbers…
Looks like I don't get my year in sport anymore as I am a sponger and this is no longer part of the free services as it had been until this year. I will just have to imagine it, top 0.00001%, way to go.
Top 5% which given my age, fitness and activity level suggests a very large number of Strava users don't do much at all. Veloviewer puts me as top 18% so clearly a more active user base.
I'm pretty happy this year. Not as much distance as my best but elevation is best ever (meaning more climbing per mile which was a target) and Veloviewer shows more "points in red (that's Zone 4&5)" than previous years. I put that down to turbo sessions early in the year and regular short, sharp climby routes through the year. Tailed off quite badly to the end of the year though so my fitness is well down on Summer but higher than this time last year.
In case anyone else is also wondering
FAQ
Why can't I view my Year In Sport?
You need to have a Strava subscription and the latest version of the Strava app installed in order to view Year In Sport.
I’m too 2% for time spent. Although I include dog walks.
I think I did 5.6 Everests of up including the walking.
122 bike rides this year averaging around 2 hours each
Well I’ve smashed out a grand total of 211 miles this year, and just worked out my MTB currently costs about £5/mile, and my gravel bike about £2.50/mile.
Next year will be better…
Top 1% my children are so proud 😂
I'm the heaviest I've ever been (92kg) and the least fit I've been in my adult life. That's my year out of sport.
My best year ever, but only make the top 11%
Don't do Strava or really care about distances but have done 599862.205 ft/182838 meters of descent.
That's fallen slightly short of my normal 4000 meters a week average due to only seven rides in December.
509 Activities so far (Mix of circuits, running, cycling, footy + lil' bit of swim) - down on last year, but have had a few days off in my 50th year 🙂
Top 2%. Lovely.
